• Another Engine came.
• The Little Train asked again.
• That Engine also refused.
• It said it was too important.
• The Little Train felt sad.
• A small Engine came later.
• The Little Train asked for help again.
• The small Engine agreed to help.
• It was kind and willing.
• It began to pull the train.
• The hill was steep and hard.
• The Engine worked slowly.
• It said, “I think I can.”
• It kept repeating these words.
• It climbed higher step by step.
• At last, it reached the top.
• It pulled the train safely across.
• The Little Train continued her journey happily.
