Scenario: Emily Johnson was admitted on 01/02/2025 with severe abdominal pain and nausea. She was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and underwent a laparoscopic appendectomy. Her recovery has been smooth, with stable vitals and no post-surgical complications. She was responding well to pain management till yesterday, but suddenly she has pain in the surgical site. You are transferring the patient to a gastroenterologist.

  • 2019 – Diagnosed with hypertension; controlled with medication.
  • 2020 – Treated for urinary tract infection with antibiotics.
  • 2022 – Knee arthroscopy for meniscus tear.
  • 2023 – Episode of acute bronchitis; resolved with bronchodilators.

Please note, Ms Johnson tonsillectomy for chronic tonsillitis 2018. In 2019, she diagnosed hypertension which being controlled medication. After a year, she treated for urinary tract infection antibiotics.
