OET Listening Part C

Attention! This Section is under construction!

OET Listening Part C is the final section of the listening sub-test, designed to assess how well candidates can understand longer, more complex healthcare-related talks. It focuses on comprehension of meaning beyond surface-level facts, including opinions, attitudes, and implications.

Part C mirrors real-world professional development scenarios, such as listening to conference talks, training sessions, or expert interviews. Success in this section demonstrates the ability to process extended spoken information in healthcare contexts—an essential skill for effective communication in practice.

Key Features

Format:

  • Two audio recordings (each 4–5 minutes long).
  • Recordings are either interviews or presentations involving healthcare professionals.

Questions:

  • Six multiple-choice questions per recording (12 in total).
  • Each question has three options (A, B, or C).

Skills Tested:

  • Identifying opinions and attitudes.
  • Following arguments and reasoning.

  • Making inferences from context.
