    Sample Essay 1

Some people think that scientists experimenting with animals in a laboratory is the only way we can guarantee new products will be safe for human use. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

It is conspicuous that animals are being used in many laboratories to test newly discovered products. Some people opine that checking these items on animals would ensure safety of human beings. An introspection on the same reveals that it is true for many reasons.

Experimenting new products with animals is an age-old practice and it renders many benefits to the world of science and human beings. In many laboratories animals like rats, frogs and monkeys are nurtured and kept for testing purposes. These animals are used for finding the effectiveness of various products like drugs and cosmetics. For instance, hair dye manufactures test their products on the hair of monkeys at first. After that they closely observe monkeys for allergic reactions. Therefore, animals are preferred for such experiments by considering benefits.

First of all, animals are living organisms just like human beings. Animals have their own body mechanisms and they would also react to poisonous substances. If the products are tested on such living creatures, it would reveal many side effects. In many experiments several organisms die as a result of allergic shocks. Obviously, it is impossible to test products directly in human beings. Secondly, artificial cells and advanced software have only limited efficiency in such experiments as they have no life to respond. Therefore, the existing best way to test new products is with help of animals.

However, it is not always possible to guarantee safety of human beings because allergic problems would arise in people even after successful outcome in animals. For instance, a drug which is safe for one person can cause detrimental effect to another person. Therefore, relying fully on animals is not always desirable.

In conclusion, the most reliable method of testing new products is with animals. Eventhough the products are safe in animals, it might create allergic attacks in human beings on its use. In my opinion, no other methods would ensure safety than testing products in animals since they are living organisms.

    Sample Essay 2

Some people think that we should choose a job based on the income in order to provide security for their families.

    • Do you think that money is an important factor when choosing a job?
    • What other factors should be considered?

In the modern times, many people believe that money is a significant factor while choosing a career since, they are responsible for their family needs. Although there are other factors involved in when a person takes up a job,in my opinion, money should be prioritized  and it is important to meet up the basic necessities of life.

It is true that money is needed in this materialistic world to fulfill each one’s basic requirements. In other words, today people leads a standardized life comparing to the past, which demands a great amount of money. The lifestyle of Indians, for instance, has changed considerably over the past decade. Consequently, forcing the citizens to earn and save more to uplift the present lifestyle. Apart from this, status also plays an important role, which means a person who has luxurious house, vehicles, and other gadgets instantly helps him to earn a lot of respect from others. Therefore, when a person opt a career he intentionally look for the mandatory benefits.

Despite the above mentioned factors, other aspects of a job also should be given importance. After all, people need happiness to lead a peaceful life and passion towards one’s job destines one’s job satisfaction to certain extent. Moreover, peaceful working environment and personal safety are also mandatory to have a smooth career life. To illustrate, many MNC’s in Bangalore and other metro cities in India offer attractive remunerations, but sometimes they failed to assure their staffs personal safety. Such instances clearly prove that there are other factors which need to be considered while choosing a job.

In conclusion, many consider parks and other privileges are in the precedence when entering into a profession due to their responsibility towards family members. I agree that money is an essential factor in this modern age. However, there are other factors ,which should also be given importance.

    Agree / Disagree

Today most people think that taller buildings and wider roads are landmarks of a country’s growth. To a certain extent it is because man is in search of more comfort and luxuries. However, there is a growing concern among the more advanced breeds of human beings and they have already started thinking in a reverse way.
For them growth of a country depends on much other factors other than mere technology and economy.

    Steps

Make a wise choice – Yes / No

Today reading habit has undergone a lot of changes, especially after the arrival of mobile phones. Earlier, people had to read in a book, magazine or in a newspaper but today the reading habits… In my opinion, reading on a mobile phone is far better and practical than reading from a book.

Give as many reasons to support your choice – Causes.

One of the most notable reasons is that people do not have time to sit and read from a book. With life style changes across the world, people do not carry books and newspapers in their hands. However, everyone carries a mobile phone, even into their toilets.

Give supportive examples (not from your experience!) – Facts & Lies.

As per a recent Swedish survey, more than 80% youngsters and more than 56% adults prefer to read from e-books that are available on mobile phones and tablets.

Give a few reasons for your not supporting the other choice.

On the contrary, reading from a book or newspaper has become a thing of the past. World Health Center says that man’s shift from paper to celluloid has saved more than a billion trees in the last ten years and that clearly indicates the need to encourage reading on mobile phones.

A few disadvantages of your choice and their solutions – Solutions.

However, reading on a mobile phone for a long period of time strains one’s eyes. It also invites dangerous cancers in turn. This can be solved only by upgrading to radiation-free devices and protective glasses.

    Conclusion.

To sum up, the habit of reading books and other useful information on a mobile phone deserves prime recognition and encouragement. This is a way to save the earth and to carry on with our thirst for knowledge in the changing world.

When it comes to the question who should be paid more – those who have graduated from university or those who have not – most people think that the former should be. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

The scale of payment for workers with and without a university education remains a controversial issue and it is believed that regular employees with graduation – or post graduation – should be paid more than what others should be. However, in my opinion, remuneration needn’t depend on educational qualification, but on a person’s skills and dedication at work.

It is conspicuous that exorbitant amount of money is required to attain a university degree.
