Good News

1. Labor Party in power.
2. NHS recruitments are restarting at a higher number.
3. The new government has allotted more than 1 Billion Pounds to the NHS.
4. Medical professionals are highly skilled workers. UK always want nurses.
5. Pound exchange value increased. 1 Pound is equal to 108 Indian Rupees (14 July, 2024)
6. Banks are reducing interest rates.
7. Ireland HSE Recruitment Freezing lifted. However, we are not told about international recruitment (15 July, 2024).
8. Care Giver Visas are now available. You can now move to the UK as a Care Giver and later you will be able to work as a nurse. Remember, UK wants you to go there at your own expense. Rather than waiting for the Free Recruitment, think of reaching there. (18 July, 2024).

Today’s Good News

Wait for August 1. Many new rules are going to be declared. The most important will be the privatization of the NHS.

Bad News

1. NHS recruitments have hit the lowest in the last 1 years.
2. NHS is planning to “adjust” the nurses / doctors’ shortage by employing shift nurses. This will not be practical for long.
3. Although Self Sponsorship is open for everyone, it is costly and time consuming. More importantly, very few people take this route.

What we Hope

1. Recruitments will be higher and higher everyday.
2. Overseas nurses do not have to panic. Ever!

What to Do now?

The best and intelligent thing is pass OET and get a job. If you start working without passing OET, you will not get time to prepare. However, if you pass OET and then join a hospital, you will have a stress-free 2 years to wait for your NHS interview. If you do not get an interview during this time, you will not depressed.
