In the beginning there were 26 alphabets (A – Z). Words and sentences were made from these 26 alphabets.
- Nouns: Some words are names of people, places, things, etc. John, Peter, Mary, London, Paris, India, dog, cow, cat, river, sky, etc.
- Pronouns: Some words are used instead of repeating the nouns. This is Peter. He is an actor. I like his films.
- Adjectives: Some words describe a noun. Cute baby. Good morning. An umbrella. The tiger. Some boys.
- Verbs: Some words are action words or verbs. Go, come, eat, speak, sleep, run, etc.
- Adverbs: These words describe verbs. She ran fast. They came here. Go out! Speak slowly.
- Prepositions: You can’t be good at English without these words. “I live Berlin” makes no sense whereas “I live in Berlin” is sensible.
- Conjuctions: These are the words that connect words and sentences together. “Sita and Ram are getting married today.”
