Pronouns

What are Pronouns?

Pronouns are words that take the place of nouns. Instead of repeating the same name or object, we use pronouns to make sentences smoother and less repetitive.

Types of Pronouns ::

  • Personal pronouns: I, you, he, she, it, we, they.
  • Possessive pronouns: mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs.
  • Demonstrative pronouns: this, that, these, those.
  • Interrogative pronouns: who, what, which.

Examples ::

  • Without pronoun: Ravi likes Ravi’s dog.
  • With pronoun: Ravi likes his dog.

Why Pronouns Are Important ::

  • They avoid repetition.
  • They make sentences shorter and clearer.
